How to maintain your wood floor

The original finishing used when your wood floor was installed will dictate which maintenance products you can use. If your floor has a wax finish, the only recommended product is wax. For oiled floors, it is recommended to use an oil similar to the one used for the original finishing, or wax. For a varnished floor, use a polish or wax designed specifically for varnished floors. Whether your floor is oiled, waxed or varnished, simply sweep or vacuum for everyday maintenance.
